A compliment from your teacher :)

Ok sweetie, just had to pass along this compliment from your teacher. When I picked you up from school today, Miss Amy was sitting with you as you 'read' her your progress note from today (basically mimicking reading, but doing it with such sincerity and conviction). She looked at me as I walked in and told me what you were doing, then said, "She is smart. I mean, really, really smart." I, of course, thanked her as we said our goodbyes, and then we headed home for your nap.

I thought it was pretty nice to hear this observation from a woman who spends her days with all sorts of kids your age. Your dad and I have thought you were brilliant ever since the first days we spent with you, but it always feels good to hear such nice compliments and observations that affirm what we have always suspected from someone else. You are an exceptional child, through and through, in so many different and diverse ways.

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure I passed along this wonderful compliment to you.
