No Burping, No Farting, No Tooting, No Slurping

Maliana ~

I went running with Aunt Tina early in the week while you stayed home and hung out with Daddy, even doing yoga with him and enjoying a night-time scooter ride as your reward for finishing your homework.
can you say, "Happy Kiddo!!"?
Of course, how could I forget this picture taken just before I left to go running that night...the three of us trying on some of our new St. Patrick's Day gear!
Top O' the Mornin' to ya!!

Abby wasn't as much of a fan
Wednesday we went to the airport to meet Aunt Tina's sister, Nora, as she arrived from Italy. You told me you were so excited to see our friend again when I told you where we were going. While driving to the airport, you made the comment below, shown here as I posted it on Facebook:

~ as M was pushing on the passenger seat with her feet so she could better see out of the windows..."What, Mom? I have to do this cuz I'm a short stack! "

You crack me up.

And another of my Facebook posts from Friday morning:
~ Why is it that the mornings you're in a hurry to get your kid(s) out the door and are finally shuffling them to the car with just a sliver of sanity still intact, they choose that exact moment to turn to you and ever so sweetly say something like, "Mom, do you want to see my magic trick?"

Once again...you crack me up.

Friday evening we headed over to Uncle Joe and Aunt Tina's to visit with all of them and Nora, as well as numerous other of their family and friends. It was a wonderful evening with lots of good conversation, delicious food, and laughter. You even ended up spending the night with your buddy, E. You are getting so grown up, not even flinching when it's time for me to head home without you. My big kid. It definitely helps that Erin is such a fantastic friend to you as well. Feeling very thankful for such wonderful friends/family right now.
you and Erin made these invitations for the adults,
all on your own...so hilarious!

yummy sleepover breakfast
Saturday you stayed with Erin until about 1pm and then Erin came over and hung out with us until 5pm. When it finally came time to say goodbye, you actually shed some bona fide tears. Poor thing. You really enjoy your "E time".

That evening we had Ziying and Zuchao over for dinner and what with your sleepover and day o' fun with E, you ended up falling asleep on the couch while we wrapped up dinner. It actually turned out well though because it gave us grown ups a chance to have a really nice conversation and get to know each other even better. After they went home, we all spent some family time on the couch downstairs, just relaxing before bed. You and I then retired to the bedroom where we snuggled in bed together while catching the first few skits of SNL. You have grown to really enjoy that show, just like I used to as a kid. Like mother, like daughter.

Sunday we took the whole day to just stay home, take it easy. watch (more! yes, more! *sigh*) snow fall, and prepare for our week ahead. It was relaxing. Just the 3 of us...well, 6 if you count all of our fur-babies, who make a day at home all the more cozy and fun.

Have a great week ahead, Monkey Buns!

Love,
Mama
